About Me

Hi I'm Lynsee,
I'm a 24 year old from a small town in the Annapolis Valley Of Nova Scotia. Home of many farm fields, apple orchards and high tides.
I went to St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS, and completed my BScN in May, 2015.
I currently work as a registered nurse and was previously an infantry soldier for the Canadian Forces.
However, in my spare time, I run.
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life, starting from when I played hockey, soccer, ringette and many other sports as a child. Growing up, I continued to run however my focus shifted to nursing school, the military, and a new goal - a bodybuilding competition. After a couple competitions, I decided this wasn't the lifestyle for me and traded that teeny tiny bikini and Ooompa Loompa tan for a pair of running shoes.
Best decision I've ever made!
For me, running has always been there when I was stressed out and needed to relax. It's such a peaceful activity. I've been running for a few years now but only recently decided to hit the pavement for an actual race. You can bet there will be more races in my future!

I enjoy all types of running, including road races, trail runs, fun runs, relays and especially obstacle course races (nothing like getting a little muddy!). Heres my list of past, present and future races.
A big goal for me is to begin completing destination races - why not combine travel AND exercise?!

Healthy living is an important aspect of my life, i'm a vegetarian and LOVE doing anything active.. running (duh), yoga, hiking, rock climbing, skating, snowboarding, you name it! If I'm moving - I'm happy.
I also enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with family, volunteering and dressing up!

Just a small town girl trying to run the world
